Taylor Stokes

  

Destined to be an entertainer, Taylor Strokes was born in Greenville Mississippi, the heart of America's blues country.

At the age of five, Taylor was following in the family tradition of singing in the chruch choir, led by his Mother for over thrity-five years.   Playing the piano, Taylor joined his eight siblings in neighborhood productions, which was the basic training for the thirty-year career in the entertainment industry.

In addition to singing and playing the piano, the young performer, joined the marching band.  As a drummer and percussionist, Taylor learned his incredible knack for timing as he perfected the drums and Latin percussions.  This led to his first professional job as a drummer for the nationally known blues band, King Floyd.  Stokes was fifteen at the time.

Although the drummer is the heart of the band, Taylor quickly realized his true love was being the voice of the band.  His distinctive vocal styling combined with is over the top showmanship led Taylor on a national and international whirlwind tour with ten different bands.

Mr. Stokes has opened for world renown acts such as;  The Dooby Brothers, Jerry Reed, Lynn Anderson, BB King, Smokey Robinson, Ray Stevens, Starbuck, Peaches & Herb, Little Milton, Ray Charles, Carrot Top, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and the Coasters.

His versatility comes from working a variety of venues.  Taylor has performed on large concert stages special events for Disney, Disney Cruises, USO Shows, corporate events, private parties, nightclubs, hotel balls, Bar Mitzvahs, & weddings.

Taylor Stokes continues to be on of southwest Florida's gems, who will mesmerize audiences of all ages.  Whether performing in his single act or as the premier part of several Southwest Florida's bands, his is a performance not to be missed!
